This plugin takes direct inspiration from FatMarleys’ plugin FatGiants, which in turn was inspired by NaturalGiants.

Attack Mechanisms

Attack Mechanism Decription
Default The default Minecraft Giant attack – if a player is inside the giants legs, the player will instantly die.
Lightning Attack When a giant targets an entity, that entity will be struck by lighning
Throw Boulder Attack When a player is 5-10 blocks away from a giant, there is a chance the giant will “Throw” a Fireball in the direction the giant is facing
Stomp Attack When a player gets close to a giant, there is a chance the giant will stomp the player
Kick Attack When a player gets close to a giant, there is a chance the giant will kick a player at a configurable height
Fire Attack When a giant targets an entity, that entity will get set on fire and so will the giant (configurable)
Spawn Zombies Attack When a giant dies, a configurable amount of zombies will spawn in that location

Giants Configuration:
Giants Stats:
Experience: 5 Defines how much experience a giant drops after death
Health: 100 Defines the maximum health a giant can have
Drops: ‘1:0:1’ Defines what giants will drop after death
1 = id of stone
0 = the durability of an item
1 = the amount dropped
Spawn Settings:
Spawn Chance: 10 The percentage chance to spawn a giant (must be from 1 – 100)
Worlds:
– world
– world_nether
– world_the_end
The worlds that giants are allowed to spawn in
Biomes: Which Biomes to spawn in
Forest: false

Attack Mechanisms:
Lightning Attack: false If the Lightning Attack is enabled or not
Kick Attack:
Enabled: false If the Kick Attack is enabled or not
Kick Height How high to kick the player (every number is 5 blocks high: 3 = 15 blocks)
Fire Attack:
Enabled: false If the Fire Attack is enabled or not
Ticks for Target: 100 How long to set the target on fire (100 = 5 seconds)
Ticks for Giant: 100 How long to set the giant on fire (100 = 5 seconds)
Debug Mode: false If the Debug Message should be sent or not
Language:
Debug Message: ‘&2A Giant has spawned at X:&F%X &2Y:&F%Y &2Z:&F%Z’ The message sent to players with the debug permission
&2 = The color code for Green
&f = The color code for White
%X = The X Position
%Y = The Y Position
%Z = The Z Position

 

Commands

Command Decription
/giants spawn <x> <y> <z> Spawns a giant at the given location
/giants reload Reloads the config.yml

 

Permissions

Permission Decription
– giants.spawn Gives the permission to use /giants spawn
– giants.reload Gives the permission to use /giants reload
– giants.debug Gives the permission to receive debug messages
– giants.* Gives all permissions for the plugin

 

Known Bugs

  • Health option does not work ( this is a bukkit problem ) so the health option will be removed until further notice
